Ask ! I found that the All Midi Inputs setting was doubling the notes. Obviously you don't want that, but I wouldn't think it should add voices if you still have "Limit polyphony to one of any given note number" checked.

I have had to work with plugins disabled on other tracks while working with NI products - then bounce the tracks to audio - then disable the plugin track after use. For whatever reason the combination of Kore player, and Maschine can have inconsistent and unfavorable result from time to time. I always have to cut the power to the system because I fear it might burn out my processor if I just waited to see what happens. Definitely more RAM is in order however, on his low power system increasing the I/O buffer could give him added CPU cycles. Realistically, 8GB minimum, 16GB if you can afford it.
