Failed To Create Virtualbox.org

No AV installed. This problem is causing me a lot of headaches. RIP, Sun. I got an idea of what went wrong reading following article:  http://www.kirtrainford.co.uk/fix-failed-create-virtualbox-com-object-regdb_e_classnotreg-0x80040154/  https://superuser.com/questions/155999/virtual-box-portable-will-not-start Why is VBox trying to re-register an already registered COM object? http://homecomputermarket.com/failed-to/virtualbox-failed-to-attach-the-usb-device-busy-with-a-previous-request.html

It never completes. comment:7 Changed 12 months ago by kirsche40 I am affected by the same issue. I'll also have a look at this. @GeWe Could you please try vad's workaround, whether this also helps in your case? Das COM-Objekt für VirtualBox konnte nicht erzeugt werden.

Go to File -> Preferences -> Network -> Host-only Networks Delete all entries in that list Run vagrant up again Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets. Thank you! Callee RC:REGDB_E_CLASSNOTREG (0x80040154) I have no idea why this error occurs because I did not change anything since yesterday. VirtualBox is a system application for running virtual machines next to normal processes.

Yes, we're still working on the issue, but unfortunately we're unable to reproduce this locally so far. In my case the problem was simply that my Linux host's root partition (including /tmp) was full! I tried removing all dotNet framwork, leaving me at 3.5 built in to Windows 7. I agree with innusius about a better error messages - googling a litte, you can see that a lot of users is getting this error but few had the opportunity to

Thanks Marco comment:38 Changed 7 months ago by verenion I too am getting this issue, after deleting my .virtualbox folder, registry entries, rebuilding MS database, and literally, anything else I can Thanks. I did a full reinstall and deleted the virtual box folders in C:\Users\UserName\ This error was occurring in the most recent stable 4.x version. FYI this happened after I deleted a box and restarted my computer. I have enough issues with antivirus software I use, it gives me regular headaches that I report to developers and have constructive discussion with them. In fact, I assumed that it would not even try starting because there are probably hard-coded references to vboxsvc.exe. http://homecomputermarket.com/failed-to/unable-to-mount-virtualbox-guest-additions.html Before full O.S. I should mention two things: 1) after cancelling the start up dialog, shutdown of my laptop fails. comment:98 Changed 2 years ago by xorred 4.3.18 does not fix anything for me.

I'm not feeling particularly "safe" now from an unspecified threat that Oracle won't even tell me about.

It's unclear to me whether the fact that we can't have modified DLL's loaded by Windows is considered a "problem" that is currently in the process of being fixed. Experimenting with all the different runas options above has not produced a working solution. Please revert it back or make the "verify feature" optional or less intrusive. comment:18 Changed 12 months ago by Vito Status changed from closed to reopened Resolution fixed deleted Sorry to say the issue is not fixed with VBox 5.0.12.

This is only possible after some time (round about 5 minutes after system start). With this test build #1 all things are working for me again. comment:9 Changed 8 years ago by frank I still wonder why the permission of the /tmp directory were wrong. comment:22 Changed 8 months ago by GeWe just uninstalled and reinstalled virtualbox 5.0.18. I've attached the Vbox.log and VboxStartup.zip. You can run the same installer which you have used to install the current version from the command line with "--logging" option.
