Do you see a looking up message at the bottom of the screen or does it advance to connecting or waiting state? Thank you. heres how I did it. 1) go to tools and click options 2) click on the advanced button and then click the network tab 3) then under connections click settings 4) I've checked password, and all other standard 'is it plugged in?' kind of things - I've gone into the config editor and upped the timeouts of mailnews.tcptimeout, mail.server.server1.timeout, etc. check over here
